Alors! When we last left you we were heading into Provence (just north of the South of France) for Easter weekend. We rented a fabulous Gîte, which tanslates into a guest house, just outside of Apt. This area is full cities and places to explore. We went to Colorado de Provence, which in fact resembles Southern Utah more than Colorado I think, though I haven't seen much of Colorado. We also visited la Fountaine-de-Vaulcluse, Lacoste, Buoux (perhaps the favorite) and Rousillion (a close second). As this is the first of 3 posts that I would like to put up immediately, I am going to let the pictures tell the story.

We sort of accidentally stumbled across this area at the end of a long day. I wanted to check it out because it is a climbing area (look closely at this first picture for the climbers). What we found was an ancient fortress at the top of a mountain that was truly spectacular. There was a lot of work going on to renovate. This whole area continued to remind us of Southern Utah.
